USNCB Project TERMINUS in Male, Maldives
Milestones

INTERPOL Washington’s Project TERMINUS Assisted NCB Malé and deploy advanced tools and technology aimed at preventing transnational criminal gangs and terrorists from reaching U.S. borders.

Maldives - Project TERMINUS completed remote assistance to the Maldivian Government, providing a pre-configured server that serves as the national SLTD Database. Project TERMINUS remotely provided software and assisted with the final solutions' configuration, installation, and testing. These solutions led to The Republic of Maldives establishing an internal SLTD Database and enabled the automatic uploading of all travel documents to INTERPOL.

  • The Bureau of Counterterrorism’s Office of Programs (CT/P) strengthens foreign partners’ ability to prevent and respond to terrorism to support U.S. national security. In the Maldives, this is done through INTERPOL’s Project Gemini and the USNCB’s Project Terminus, which enhance border security by upgrading National Central Bureau (NCB) equipment and expanding access to INTERPOL’s I-24/7 system. NCB Malé collaborates with Maldivian law enforcement, Immigration, Customs, and other border agencies to improve screening and information sharing.

  • USNCB Project TERMINUS began in 2021 with Implementation of USNCB's Automated SLTD submission and DSD Database. The Domestic SLTD Database application was created to meet the requirements of Maldivian Government.
