Project TERMINUS Milestones
2025
* Nigeria - Project TERMINUS staff met with the Nigerian Immigration Services about two INTERPOL connectivity issues. A workaround was developed which enabled their Project TERMINUS SLTD record management solution to reconnect to INTERPOL WISDM and immediately create 16,016 new Nigerian SLTD records in the INTERPOL database and extending 12,476 SLTD records preventing deletion due to Rules of Processing Data (RPD).

* Mexico - Mexico remotely downloaded and utilized the SLTD Workbench
application, provided by Project TERMINUS, and created 79,885 SLTD records, safeguarding them from deletion. This large-scale action bolstered Mexico’s ability to detect and deter illicit international travel.

* Ethiopia - Ethiopia remotely downloaded and utilized the SLTD Workbench application to create 1,922 SLTD records and extend 2,708 SLTD records, preventing their removal under INTERPOL’s RPD. This strengthened Ethiopia’s capacity to identify and interdict high-risk travelers at border points.

* Trinidad & Tobago – Trinidad & Tobago utilized the SLTD Workbench application, provided by Project TERMINUS, created 2,947 SLTD records and extended 4,171 SLTD records safeguarding and preventing the deletion due to INTERPOL’s RPD.
* Panama - The Project TERMINUS team traveled to Panama City to
deliver / install essential equipment. These efforts enabled the Autoridad de Pasaportes de Panama (APAP) to:
-
Continue uploading SLTD records and automatically extend records, resulting in uploading 3,656 SLTD records and extending 5,041 SLTD records safeguarding and preventing the deletion due to INTERPOL’s RPD.
-
Utilize the TERMINUS SMV Workbench application, which permitted 25 Stolen Motor Vehicle (SMV) record actions in the INTERPOL database.
-
Operate a new INTERPOL message communication system, strengthening NCB Panama City’s global law-enforcement mission.

* Malaysia - The TERMINUS team travelled to Malaysia to discuss implementation plans for the newly delivered servers and router donated by the USNCB.
-
The TERMINUS Team installed and configured the Project TERMINUS SLTD Workbench application to help Malaysia extend SLTD records subject to automatic deletion under INTERPOL’s RPD.
-
The router connecting Malaysia Immigration to INTERPOL was replaced with a Project Terminus router, solidifying their continued ability to screen travelers against INTERPOL data and submit Malaysian records to INTERPOL databases.

* Philippines - The Philippines remotely downloaded and utilized the SLTD Workbench application provided by Project TERMINUS to update 2,137 SLTD records. This prevented their automatic deletion under INTERPOL’s RPD and ensured the continued availability of critical data for Philippine border-security operations.

* Thailand - The Project TERMIINUS staff transported TERMINUS equipment to NCB Bangkok. The team created a new network control and segmentation design and built a firewall configuration as well as installed the two TERMINUS servers and connected to the firewalls.
-
Installed and configured the Stolen and Lost Travel Documents (SLTD) virtual machine that contains both the SLTD Uploader and Domestic SLTD Database (DSD).
-
Within 24 hours of going live, Thailand’s new SLTD record-management system added more than 15,000 new Stolen and Lost Travel Document (SLTD) records to INTERPOL’s global database—one of the most impactful single-day contributions by any INTERPOL member country. The Terminus Team installed custom software, creating a central hub for all INTERPOL queries, and enabling upcoming screening against INTERPOL wanted-person data. This expansion directly improves Thailand’s ability to identify criminal actors and known or suspect terrorist and supports global efforts to detect transnational threats.

* Project GEMINI-IPSG Technical Assistance - As the technical solution arm of INTERPOL’s Project Gemini, Project TERMINUS is working with IPSG, the U.S. Department of State, and partner-nation staff on multiple deployments in Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

* Western Hemisphere Workshop – Project TERMINUS led a multi-national workshop on law enforcement and border security coordination comprised of senior representatives from ten Central and South American countries. Participating countries included Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru and Mexico.
